Dr. Daniel L. Hood is retiring after over three decades in pathology, leaving behind a legacy of dedication and achievement.
Inspired by the immensity and challenge of medicine, Dr. Hood graduated from Wright State University School of Medicine in 1985 and completed his residency at the Cleveland Clinic. He joined Valley Pathologists in 1990, where he served in key roles at Premier Health and CompuNet Clinical Laboratories, significantly advancing laboratory medicine.
Dr. Hood’s notable roles include President of the Board of Trustees for Community Blood Center/Community Tissue Services and Clinical Associate Professor at Wright State.
Known for his vast knowledge of trivia and as a calming presence, Dr. Hood plans to travel, help with his grandchildren, and take classes in western history. He has no immediate plans to stay active in the medical field per strict orders from his wife until after the holidays.
Dr. Hood hopes to be remembered as a knowledgeable and steady force in the lab. His remarkable career will inspire future generations in the medical field.
